Does anyone know why the GT/ST tube microphones use a screen connection to the B+ instead of the plate?
One of these days I will buy one to measure or build a circuit fragment to measure to figure out why they do this.
I have an idea but I am wondering what the design decision was.
The GT "The Tube Amp Book" has a section with tube microphone and a paragraph mentioning SPA in it.
