Just stumbled acorss this article by a company that supplies remade chips for synths

Interestingly alfa  have made a replacement for the LM394, but this compnay currently don't stock them.  They say they would if they get enough interest.....

electricdruid is just one guy, Tom Wiltshire. I have ordered from him before and I can really recommend him, he´s cool. Active on SDIY list, too.

No experience with those company but they are respected in the "synth community"...

Maybe you are thinking of Alfa Rpar, a Latvian company that recently started manufacturing the LM394 transistor array and a range of the CEM-series synth chips:

They are very helpful people - I got some chips as a sample, but haven't had time to evaluate just yet.

yes they are listed in the document I lnked to I beleve.

CEM is making an oscillator chip again.

Cool Audio (Owned by Music Group, AKA Behringer) manufactures many of these chips too. You can order from their website if you meet the 2000$ minimum order.

I didn't really like the drama behind the Cool Audio story but, I needed a couple of 2164 chips and couldn't find them anywhere else aside from the many Chinese offerings. which have disappointed me on 2 separate occasions. :-\
It's funny because the chips I had to get came with instructions on how to install them backwards because of the manufacturing defect. Anyway, I can vouch that they worked and sounded good from what I can tell.....

I've bought couple of LM394 on ebay from China, to make some YUsynth oscillators. However, I can't confirm if they are good, because I never completed my modular project.
