Dear friends,

I stayed away from repairing analog cameras.
But recent repair request from friends started to change my mind.
One is already fine again. The other camera exploded  in many pieces on my working table.

Now I need a cool forum like this one for cameras.
I know this forum is not to beat but still.
I don't get easy things.

My patient is a Pentax MV.
The electronics is not working and the thing is sucking battery for no reason.
There are tants on the PCB, but with the DMM no one seems to have a short.
Strange thing is that it seems that there are no schematics around.
The service manual only shows the wiring.
So how could I repair the electronics?
;D

best greetings.
Stephan

I've tried repairing a Nikon  Coolpix (can't remember the model though) because it had a problem with the objective mechanism which had some dirt in it and I actually managed to disassemble it but couldn't get it working...

The casing and the screen came off nicely and the flat connector wire too but the objective was a different animal.. anyway I assembled it and the screen worked although it had some weird lines in it but the lens was gone so I threw it away but saved the SD card for later use.
