I was pondering patterns, noting my recent fondness for wide cardioid, and noted the current 414-XLS adds wide cardioid to the 414 mix.  I never use hyper-cardioid on my ULS, and am wondering what the recipe to change that pattern to wide cardioid might be.

My ignorant theory might be to have R107 connect to R103/104 rather than R105/C103.    Perhaps R107 value would also have to change, perhaps every bit of that is totally wrong.

Looks to me like you'll need to pull the junction of R103 and R104 to ground through 22Mohm while the switch is in the cardioid position. There's no R107 value that will give you a sub-cardioid response. EDIT: ...which is what you said, except you'd do it by modifying the PCB traces. Oops. Read twice, write once!

I would think this to be correct... resistor marked "? " determines the amount of rear response.
