I don't know what diameter knobs you need but Thonk does a good range of 6mm D knobs

https://www.thonk.co.uk/product-category/parts/knobs/

The Davies 1900 clone D knobs (bottom right) are really colourful and inexpensive.

Cheers

Hi Ian, thanks for your advice. I have seen this site before, I like the Davies 1900 style knobs, the price and the colours are cool.
Unfortunately the indicator of these knobs shows into wrong direction! As can you see in the attached picture I need knobs with the direction indicator 90 degrees ccw.

My favorites on the thonk site are these Sifam style knobs, "black large skirted"
https://www.thonk.co.uk/shop/intellijel-style-knobs/

The good thing with these knobs is, that you can define you own  indicator direction, because the caps for the knobs a separate.
The bad thing is, this solution is quite expensive. I would spend three times the money I have spent for the mixer! :o

Thats the reason I am asking the guys over here for offers. Perhabs someone got an old, defective mixer (from that era?) and I can buy the knobs of it.

Cheers

PS: Sorry the picture upload function is broken at the moment...

I have a bunch of Sifam 14.5mm diameter ones (like the ThonK small) but they have a 4mm D so they are no good to you.

The Thonk prices are very good. I just purchased 100 off the small skirted  but with 1/8 inch D direct from Sifam and they were only a few pence cheaper than the Thonk price.

Cheers

Thank you. I guess I will go for the Cliff CL178883 knobs with seperate caps. They are quite cheap (<0.50€ each) and will fit on d-shaft pots. Due the separate cap, the rotation indicator is flexible.

Have you looked at OKW Enclosures?

https://www.okwenclosures.com/en

I have been buying all my collet style knobs from them when it's in quantities greater than 10.  They have several different designs and quality is really good. The only thing is that I don't know what import does for you as they seem to only have offices in the US and Canada.

Thanks!

Paul

I have a large box full of vintage 6mm D shaft pots from an old mixer.
Pointer is set to 9oclock looking at the front/top of the knob with the D shape flat part facing down.
They are used and are a bit worn, but you could have them very cheap.
They are green, red and blue on top but colors are also worn.

TME are incredibly cheap. I use them for my Meanwell SMPSUs and 250VAC mains transformers. I must admit I get annoyed with knob manufacturers because they always specify the knob diameter at the top rather than at the skirt. So those supposed 16.5mm diameter Cliff knobs are actually 19.3mm at the skirt and it is that dimension  that matters when deciding if there is enough room for the front panel graphics.

I like the Re'an Flexifit Series for this. The insert can be rotated in 90° steps and three sizes are available:

Conrad used to stock them in the past.

Just for information. I went for this knobs:

https://www.tme.eu/de/details/k88-blk-d/drehknoepfe-fuer-drehpotentiometer/cliff/cl178862/

TME is great. Good quality, fast delivery and cheap prices.  I am new customer, now.

My cute Yamaha is fully functional now, I fixed some issues. I have also swapped the VU meter lighting to LEDs, way better now, more brightness, less heat. I still have to change the fader knobs to the bigger originals and than I am ready to upgrade some internals. I will mod the summing buses and the buffer amps. In the end i will see if there is still need to upgrade the channelstrips,..

@chef: clever knobs, these Rean FlexFits!
