I got my FET circuitboard last week and finally had time to get that project rolling. I spent the day machining parts. I have some stock left over from my U48 stereo mic that is an ongoing project so I used it for this build.

The second window finished. I then clean them up with a file and some sandpaper.

Frame rails are fitted. I used a hacksaw and a file to rough them out.

Cut a channel for the XLR keyway with a tiny end mill and a file then drilled an access hole for the set screw through the skirt of the baseplate. XLR installed!

Apparently I waited too long to order the parts for this and there are no JFETs available ( RF JFET Transistors N-CH -25V 10mA BULK Engineering Hold). does anyone know a source for these or an alternative?
