Hi Kid,
The fringed mullet look really hasn't dated well at all has it . They must have been sweeping up hairballs for months after that gang left the studio  :D

Just for benchmarking purposes I said id throw this in ,these guys make even G.G Allin look relatively tame.

Here a real classic from the Pogues and the ledgendary Shane, gritty and grainy too ,if these guys were in the gutter Anti Nowhere League must have crawled up out of hell.

The Boy Looked At Johnny (covered by Marybell Katastrophy), NME Magazine tribute

Every single track, the mix AND the master has heavy doses of G21 (#patchbayfreakaccident).

Heh-heh, well, far be it from me to judge hair styles (I grew mine out again, although the older I get, the less I have!) but, yeah, ye old mullet, it's a classic!  I actually was wondering where the whole mullet thing came from last month, so I looked it up, and evidently it's been around for quite awhile. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mullet_(haircut)

On a serious note, I was shocked to find out Vivian Campbell has Hodgkin lymphoma.  He started losing hair from the chemo, so he was going to wear a wig, but decided in the end against it.  Hopefully he beats it.

As for the hairballs, that's entirely possible, according to Viv:

"You put a bunch of eighties guitarists in the same room and, of course, there’s going to be competition for bragging rights. They were even arguing about who had the biggest hair." :D

Eric Bloom and Rob Halford must have come in last on that one!

Ah, yes, Burnin' Vernon!  I still have my cassette single of that song.  Evidently, they're still touring, at least as of last fall:

Definitely, he was amazing.  I found a couple different versions of Space Oddity.  It's amazing the difference between them only a couple years apart.  The earlier one is actually more realistic, as for space simulation.  The second reminds me of Battlestar Gallactica, where they used Tektronik scopes and test equipment to make it look like futuristic technology!

Lita Ford just came to town, here's a good one:

And, while we're at it, remember the 80's?

That's some awesome guitar, I'll have to check out more of their stuff!  Thanks for posting!

I blame Lou Ferrigno (the incredible hulk)for re-inventing the mullet.
Yeah I been a long hair forever too, more all full lenght ,late sixties hard rock style rather than the fringed mullet heads that came later . Now Ive got this wild beard as well ,so Im more  like one of the 'Swamp Thangs' from the movie 'Southern Comfort' on a bad hair day . Touch wood no baldness up top yet ,slight recession at the sides alright ,but thats par for the course I reckon.

Heres another goody from one of the toughest Aussie pub rock bands ever ,made famous by Axel 'n' Slash ,
Nice boys ..........

Good tune Boji

Thank you ttech!

Man, 'Living Colour' was my band back in the day. I could never decide if Vernon Reid was a genius or not. =P  I did watch something on him recently from Premier Guitar where they interview famous musicians about their stage rigs. His was the most complicated I've ever seen by far.

Southern Comfort, classic flick, got that on vhs somewhere!  Now that ya mention it, I resemble them a little, too; grew my beard out for the winter, need to shave.  But I was thinkin' of possibly sporting the Lemmy, aka mutton chop.  I don't know, though, don't really have the sideburns to pull it off!!  I guess I could just try it and see, and if not, just cut it all off!!  8)  Hmm, no emoticon with beard?

Lou Ferrigno?  Hmm, could be.  Although McCartney and Bowie definitely had some winners!

Wow, yeah, never heard "Cornshucker", but I can see why, lol.  Nice boys. . . NOT!

I haven't seen Vernon's stage rig, but the most complicated one I ever saw was Dave Gilmour 1994 setup.  I think he had every effect and processor that was available!  I often wondered if maybe he just went straight to his amp heads, and had all that stuff just for eye candy, to trip people up! :D
