This is a like new, never-installed Sowter Type 1478 PC Mount High Performance Mu Metal Input Transformer, replacement for Marinair Zutt 012a as used in Trident A Range microphone pre-amplifiers and other vintage amplifiers. I have used this model transformer to replace Daking Mic Preamp Jensen Input Transformers for a more vintage true-to-Trident tone.

$65 shipped/paypal'd in US.

Exceptionally high level, high bandwidth, low distortion 600 ohm or 200 ohm input transformer.
Suitable as replacement for original transformer in Trident A range, B range, Fleximix  and other vintage recording studio units.   No uncancelled dc permitted in primary or secondary windings.

- Unusually 70% Mumetal/30% M6 laminated core for minimal distortion even at very high levels.
- Very high inductance ensures an input impedance of at least 1000 Ohms over a wide frequency rqange when the secondary is loaded with 50K Ohms.
- Heavy Mumetal screening can to ensure immunity from hum fields.

Voltage ratio 1:5.9
Bandwidth (-3 dB points, typical) 5 Hz to 50 kHz
DC resistance (primary)80 ohms (approx)
DC resistance (secondary) 2370 ohms (approx)
Primary inductance (approx) 15H (approx)
Max. input level at 50 Hz+20 dBu
Total harmonic distortion 0.002% at 1kHz
