I saw this one a few weeks ago, I would like to copy part of the build (I don’t need the base with all those nuts, though is a clever solution).

It uses another board for electronics, but I think shouldn’t be hard to use this mechanical part with different electronics, I like the controller part in the old project asylum cool winder:

Looks like the guy is building another one, based in arruino.

Been thinking for years in burn some money and time in coil my own transformers but never done it really.

The only thing I’m don’t have any clue about is the wire tensioning system, looks like the typical stuff I tend to overthink. Maybe a spring attached to the carrier and the piece which guides the wire would do the trick?

I have some aluminum profile, steppers and access to a 3D printer for custom pieces, shouldn’t be so hard to get something together...

Definitely insteresting, I can assure there were much less videos about coil windings two years ago.
