hi guys , I'm trying to source  the most flexible and at the same time thinnest conductor cable around . 2 way
need only to carry a few mA.
had some more or less satisfying results with transformer copper wire , but seemed a bit weak mechanically.

Tonearm wire is small and flexible but I'd imagine mechanically not the strongest......

The conductors used in cat5 are pretty small???

Or some of those those used in some computer harnesses....??? http://www.cablesdirect.com/store/p/3523.aspx

Cat 5 is no option.

How about flex pcb? You may be able to repurpose  some if you need a limited supply.

isolated yes, not shielded. preferably not twisted because this make the whole more stiff.

Flex PCB is way too stiff

tonearm wire seems perfect, but way too expensive.
Some headphone brands use these with an outer sleeve. removing that is an option.
I wonder if I could buy it by the meter.

How long does the cable need to be?
You could look into micro coax cables but these usually are a total pita to work with, unless you have strip tools and use the dedicated connectors.
Failing that, you could disassemble two lengths of RG174, and either use two of the shields as single conductors (pretty flexible, but not isolated) or the center conductor in sheath (less flexible but isolated).

If it doesn't need to be isolated, maybe you can use desoldering litze bits. You could use litze at the joints and something else in between (if possible)?

So, does it need to be flexible all the way, or are there joints that need to be flexible?

These are the micro coax cables I was talking about:

Like I said, major PITA to use. I see Mouser only has spools, you might get some sample lengths from Alpha Wire directly, if you ask nicely?

Hey Jarno , I think we have a winner here.
I check further in that direction.

Thanks alot
