You lost your KM84s in the divorce but you stuck it to her by taking the badges off?
You got some scruff badges so you ordered new ones and now you're like "what the hell do I do with these?"?

Well I'm your answer!

Looking for two KM84 badges in pretty much any condition!!

Like Gyraf posted, sennheiser still sells them badges.

I bought a couple a week ago, pretty cheap and just like ones that came with trhe km84´s.

[rant] We bought one but the pins were too long (protruded into the body) and the curve was not correct.  Snipped the pins and tried to gently correct the curve but the damn thing is so small I was afraid I'd break it.  Glued it to the mic and a month later it came off. [/rant]

Slight thread diversion - does anyone have a km84 tube/body as a spare? I have one that is broken at the vents and has already caused damage to one capsule... doesn't hurt to ask!

I've heard they don't fit flush. I'm looking for someone whos got a bunch of oldies in a drawer for some reason and wants to spare two.

Hi,
You do have to trim the pins with a dremel tool, pretty easy, use E6000 glue and your good to go. ( as per Klaus Heyne advice )

I just did that a couple weeks ago on some vintage km84´s and came out perfect.

You can buy used but it will be exactly the same plus the ones that came with the mics where punched so you will end up with broken pins.

Hope this helps.
Cheers

This EXACT same thing happened to me - I wound up going thru 2 sets and could never get them to sit flat.

the curve is just NOT correct like the old badges - even if the pins are trimmed to fit they still poke up at the edges...

I got a few pairs from Tonehouse studios on ebay - they are selling direct replacements from Neumann/Sennheiser (so its not their fault they don't fit!)
