Just wondering if any pencil style off the shelf mics make a good starting point for tube mic project , preferably with interchangeable capsules . I see one pair of condenser mics on ebay for 70 euros ,comes with six capsules in total ,no switches on the barrel either which is a plus , I'll use a submini tube as cathode follower in the mic body and do any impedence matching at the psu end . Are these smaller diaphragms capable of 60 or so volts polarisation ?
