I'm trying to add LEDs for the power light and meter lights and thought about making this little rectifier circuit to supply the DC for this.

I'm sure this would work, however concerned about introducing noise or hum or something into the circuit. Any advice?

The added circuit is boxed in red with red circles where I plan to tap into the AC.

NO!!

The rectifier heater is at 300 Volts DC!
----------------

Minor issue: Parallel LEDs may not share well. Either use separate resistor for each LED, or put them in series.

This really uses a grounded 6.3V heater supply?

Then a simple hack off the *grounded* 6VAC winding gives a reasonable and safe 16V DC supply.
