Hello:
I'm looking at a Peavey 6505 Plus head for someone and I'm finding the plate current is slightly off from one side to the other by about 4mA. I checked the tubes and they are all matched and test the same on a Heathkit tube tester. I measured the resistance of the output transformer and one half is 30 ohms and the other half is 40 ohms. Doesn't seem to make too big of a difference on the waveform until the point of clipping in the output section, then the top half of the wave starts to clip a little bit before the bottom. I highly doubt the guy plays it loud enough to reach that point. The B+ at the plates is the same on both sides. Is this enough offset to be concerned about.
Thanks!
