I have a broken pot on a Fireface. The front panel doesn't want to come off because the push release on the XLR inputs won't allow it to slide forward over the pot shafts

Logically there must be a way to remove the spring-loaded locking release tab but I can't see it. Any ideas?

The XLRs are Neutrik PCB-mount 3-pin XLRs with a metal release tab. Part number is probably NC3FAH. I can't find any useful info on the Neutrik site

OK, more Googling led me back to the Neutrik site. There is a tool to remove them. It is around 12 mm long and about 0.8 x 1.2 mm. I have a jeweller's screwdriver of approximately the right size but it's too short

Maybe try the screwdriver from the front...... Just aim down a bit and leverage it...... not sure it makes sense how I'm describing....but it has to go down and out..... at least on some other models....
