amazing. haha great video and really funny guy! :D :D
at first i was thinking, what is he gonna do to these poor knobs..

but wow, not bad

should also watch his other videos (e.g. the one where he gets stung by a wasp during recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRqXLk4uxEs) ;D

It always looks so easy on youtube! ;)

I like his result, the knob looks very good. This tube tester is really beautiful, a mixture of art déco and steampunk style. This would be a perfect decoration for my home. I bet this piece of gear was pretty expensive.  8)

I did the exact same thing to clone those expensive Stockli knobs.

awesome, first time i see that.

Now that's impressive. I really can't tell which is which. I've done this with measuring a knob, putting it up in Openscad and 3d-printing, with only fair-to-good results. I printed a larger one with 100 percent fill, but it's still not as heavy as the original with apparently has metal inserts for added weight.

I've been collecting various Raytheon knobs at hamfests. I really I like the way they look and feel.

That guy had an interesting idea: https://youtu.be/sHH6WHNoLoI?t=1161

I'm going to do clone some knobs soon, asking myself if it's better to already keep the mounting hole for the shaft open with a screw like in the video. Are there any side effects? It has got to be completely centered though, it may be a little risky but apart from that?  Bought some of these inserts to mount the knobs.

Did you do it any different?
