Simple circuit, featuring no phase reversal, great input swing +10/-10 easily. Only one cap in the signal path. I recommend polypropylene.

The design somewhat follow the principle of the OPamp and as a result produces the headroom tubes are known for but the definition and neutrality this topology offers
 
Clean tube sound, big yet transparent.  sorry scope jockeys, I'm using my ears
 
Need perf board for changing things on the fly, even though my tube models are spot on from over 15 yrs of finetuning. Still listening as we speak.  So far so good.

This would make a pretty sweet mic head amp (with a high value grid resistor and maybe remove U1 plate resistor to remove Miller effect). I don't know if anyone's tried something like that. It'd require quite a large body to house the two tubes, but certainly not impossible.
