Hi everybody
looking for info about  U.S.A. and EU Compliance Laws
related to metal chassis  for mixing consoles , metal rack cases  , Etc.. for electronics
thanks in advance for any help about
cheers

I am not aware of many rules about metal.

UL has rules about max temperature of external metal (like heatsinks).

Further there are rules about holes in metal that allow fingers to touch energized circuits inside.

Yes as I recall they use a special finger shaped metal probe to poke around. More like a pinky than thumb.

I was told by my Rack manufacture that yellow chromatized isn't allowed anymore (EU)

…. then only grey and black for all  ?    :(

About structure resistance depending on the weight that should be loaded ,

there is some characteristics that have to be respected ,
and related documentation for certification is required ,

or it is at the discretion of the manufacturer ?
