Hi ,
i'm hoping someone can help me here, im just getting around to building the diy sontec mastering EQ and im going  to purchase the switches, can anyone advise me on what type of rotaries i will need, shorting or non shorting?  if anyone has built this i would be grateful for some info.

thanks

Liam

You want shorting switches. What brand depends on what you want and where you are located. 24 position switches are expensive.  The classic one is an Elma 04 series. There are many more choices in 12 position switches.

Grayhill switches are in the catalogs so are available everywhere. I use Electroswitch C4’s . I’m going to transition to C1’s after I use all the C4’s I have.

A lot of builds use the Lorin switches. If you plan on pounding on this EQ all day every day then those will break. Same with those blue and white 24 position ones.
