nice haha  :D
how does the vinyl stay in place?
Perhaps vacuum (to suck down warped vinyl flat) or glue.

Unclear how tone arm is tensioned properly in opposition to gravity (spring tension?)

Kids, don't try this at home.  ;D

record is held on by a standard disc stabilizer of screw-on type (as opposed to weight-type)

the beauty about tone arm tension is that it is a simple matter of shifting it's balance slightly in the wrong direction, as it really dosen't care which side the pickup faces :)

I didn't believe what I heard first, it's so counterintuitive that its almost frightening :)

Much respect for having a really outstandingly weird idea - and then going through with it.

Ejner, the weird guy, claims that the only real difficult part was getting it fully horizontal, hanging there...

Probably difficult to scratch songs like a DJ and change records up on the ceiling.    ;D
