I got this thing mainly because it looks so cool and the guy said it worked. Power cord was rotted so I replaced that and removed the death cap. Plugged in a solid state rectifier and brought it up slowly on the variac. Passed audio starting around 60v and I got it up to about 105v before one of the can caps started getting warm. Definitely needs a recap. Never going to do anything with it, so passing it on. PM me for more photos and details.
