Tuning Vox Jaguar Oscillator
« on: March 07, 2019, 12:57:17 PM »
Hi,

I'm working on repairing a Vox Jaguar. The A# oscillator card was pretty messed up so I rebuilt it: replaced all caps, replaced a couple bad transistors, checked all the resistor values. Now its working but I can't get it in tune, the lowest I can get it is about 30 cents sharp of A#.

How can I tweak the values to bring the frequency down? Currently C1 and C2 are 22000pf each.

Schematic attached.

Increase the cap size. If 27n or 33n is too big, put small ones in parallel.

C1, C2, or both?
