a bit off topic , DIY still in some kind of ways .
Most people know the problem , you got a laserprinter and the toners empty , at least thats what the printer says though the toner is far from being really empty .

at this , my particular printer ,there´s a 8pin SMD chip which should be responsible .
couldn´t find any info about it whatsoever .

Anybody got more insight on this ? a secret chip database one should know about ?
or is this chinese "print any random numbers on it " kind of thing ?
