A friend wants to record his record collection to a PC @ 192 khz

What would you suggest for a USB3 converter under $1500 USD?

If you went used, a Lynx Hilo would be a nice choice. It's annoying that it's not rackmount, but that could be a plus in a home setting.

thanks John, yes those are very nice but I can't find any used for less than $2000. My guy has a budget of $1500.

What do you think of the SPL Crimson 3 ?

No experience with the crimson, are all the extra features needed?

Benchmark is also well regarded, the previous models might be inexpensive these days.
