Why does Jensen advise the wiring of the JT-123 parallel : parallel  for 1:1 ratio out of the 990c  instead of series : series as it is drawn on JT123 spec sheet?

990 output Z is low, so 150:150 connection is more closely matched than 600:600 would be.  That's the short version.

Output impedance of most opamps will be close to zero. The question of 150 or 600 ohms is whether the opamp can provide enough current to drive that load. That's the difference between an opamp and a power amplifier and everything in-between. One can supply 10 or 20mA to the load, the other can supply a couple of amperes. But both have an output impedance of practically zero.

thanks,  One reason I was wondering about the parallel wiring was that the JT-123 spec sheet seemed to imply that the best
CMRR was when wired the way it was shown, series : series that is.
