I bought a 2011 gibson Les paul years ago because it had the plek treatment. I thought it would be a good idea for my tendinitis. I was able to put the first string less than 1mm at fret 12 then I figure out I don´t like low action. The guitar had other problems the nut was not cutted with the plek machine. I sold the guitar. Still think it is a good thing to have probably better with high frets at least for my preference.
Geez, that's neat. I have cheap guitars (well, a couple collectible as well), not sure it would be worth getting one done. I do my own setups and once I've tweaked enough I like the way they play.
I haven't heard of this nor the guitar store, even though I live in the area. I wonder if I don't get out enough.
I wonder if they keep stats (surely they do) on which brands are the best set up from the factory.
