I have no affiliation with these, but i came across this seller / shop today on AliExpress by accident, while i was searching for something else.

Their prices don't seem too "obscene", either :p I just figured if someone thinks they might have use for some of their mic bodies, and more "official" sources might be too pricey or whatever... "Sharing is caring", and all that ;D

I guess it's this one. Thanks Khron, i was thinking about building a Steam Punk style mic with worn copper look, there is just perfect body for that!

I've also seen some of those on eBay as well. Namely those longer black or red bodies that look like they'd be nice for tube mics.

They look like they'd be a lot better than gutting a cheap BM-700/800/whatever and using that body. The grilles look a bit thin on some of the bodies though, unless you want a single layer grille.

They also sell some of the mics completed. The longer ones (the black/red bodies I mentioned) look like they have iSK's CK12 in them.

Thanks Khron for the tip. I ordered a pair of these:

Beautiful body imho.

A bit tiny, no room for a lot of stuff.

There are just slots for PCB, not typical design. Schopes type of circuit should fit.  Comes with LD capsule mount, but SD mount has to be cut.

That "aged bronze" finish looks neat indeed :)

Although that size kinda points my imagination towards some cardioid-only (or fixed-pattern, super/hyper-cardioid) end-address LDC...
With some custom capsule mount, of course.

Super satisfied with this ''Copper Mic'' result. I ended up squeezing ST51 circuit with transformer inside. It has almost ribbon like character. I thing the sound of it fits the looks.

I did a quick shootout  against u87 clone i've made, and stock Behringer B1 as reference China mic sound.

What capsule is that, btw? I don't mean to sound prejudiced, but it kinda looks "soviet" ;D Some Oktava or something more obscure?
