Chandler Limited LTD-2 meter calibration
« on: May 15, 2019, 03:00:44 PM »
Is there not a GR meter calibration for the Chandler LTD-2?  I see one trim pot on the B283 amp board, which I assume is to bias T3.  There's another trim pot, which the wiper appears to go to the B283 board also.  I believe this is an output level trim.  It looks like the meter drive comes from the B185A control board.

I have a stereo pair.   I traced through both units taking measurements and as far as audio, both units perform identically.  It turns out the difference in GR metering just comes down to a difference in the meters themselves.  I used some gator clips and crossed the meters from each unit and connected to the other.  The difference in meter level stayed with the meters.

The meter was connected to the B192 in the 2254, no trimmer only two resistors in serie with the meter for 1mA or 500uA.
10k for 1mA meter and 10k + 10k for 500uA.
