Best Opto compressors which could fit 4 or 8 into 1U?

Is there a half decent opto design which could fit 4 or even 8 into a 1U?
Failing that a decent design which could fit a stereo version into a 1U?
Looking for that LA-4 style but simple!!

Forssell opto (with a blend pot?)! Very flexible
L.A.light from diystompboxes comes to mind, it sounds nice but very simple...

Have a look at the JLM audio MAC compressor. It sounds great, I can highly recommend it.

THAT4301 isn’t opto but maybe you could recreate the attack and decay characteristics of an opto cell by trial and error.

If I was trying to get four or eight channels in a box I’d use an LA3A discrete sidechain and flat mounted T4Bs with an IC op amps for the audio side.
