My first submitted DIY and although not quite finished I am glad to be at the end of this one with good result. Incredible gain with real low noise, will test out further this week. I have put a ribbon, a 58, LD,SD condensor through it
some tweaking to go yet but I am happy after what seemed a nightmare of problems. I had just finished doing Peterc's green pre (4 of them ) and had worked out the problems I had with these quite readily. The 99jlmv's were a challenge, at one monent I had thought I had toasted my 992's. Deep breath.......... pics

Any hints on building the JLM99s, i'm just starting mine today. What problems did you encounter?

Desoldering the board is not fun so be really careful on what goes where
I destroyed one of the relays and had a hard time pulling it off the board.
I originally was going to use Lundahls but decided to go with JLM's input tranny which there was not too much of a difference (or so I thought ) in the layouts. The new PDF of the JLM input trannies is not the same as one I had downloaded I searched around and found an old layout with the JLM input tranny and this worked as I was not putting an output transformer on. Oh and don't forget the jumpers they are not on the schematics but on the board layout, this caused a few anxious hours.
I am glad of the results, I have never heard my AT 4047 with that much presence ( I am using Forssells 992s) can't wait to get recording with it.

Can anyone give me an idea what sort of current a single JLM99 takes? What current rating toroid is recommended for a couple of channnels
