Neumann KMR 81i shotgun info?
« on: July 24, 2019, 09:37:01 AM »
I don't find any tech docs in a quick perusal of the interwebs, anyone have anything?   Looks like it's a KK81 capsule, specific to the mic as far as I can tell.

Since the KMR 81 was released after the KMR 82, I suppose that there will be a lot of similarities.
(Maybe even only the size of the interference tube?)
There is a solution for every problem!

Where the capsule is located ? On the top of the mic or just below first side holes, at the top of the amplifier ? The reason I ask is, that I have two empty bodies and I would like something to do with them in DIY spirit... I don't want to buy original parts for it,
because I got them for cheap, as they were exhibits examples I believe ... Does someone where to find the photos of the amp and capsule alone ?

THanks

About 2/3rd+ down the vents from the front.  Not all the way at the amp end.
