Has anyone done comparisons of modern made UTC type signal transformers (A-10, A-24, etc)  versus original UTC transformers? Simply put, do they sound the same or not?

And does Magnetika supply Universal Audio for their LA-2A and 1176 reissues?

I can't speak for what they use currently as I don't know but, when the reissues were first brought to market, they used Magnetika for the A-24 and the HA-100x was supplied by someone else.  I don't think Magnetika were up to the task of the HA but that initial sourcing of suitable parts was slightly before my time.
Also a Magnetika on the 1176 input.

I didn't see any difference whatsoever between Magnetika and old UTC.  There may be some small differences with the HA-100 clone over the original but I don't think it was anything major.  I thought it was a nice transformer.
Not sure, but I may have sent CJ one of those to test, maybe not...
