Cool. I’ve seen that same one on eBay for a bit more coin. Probably the same guy.

There’s no mechanical traverse mechanism on it, is there? I don’t see it if there is.

Yes there is a traverse on it , the lobed cam is just after the handle on the drive shaft ,
I think thats whats known as a universal winder , a special I think silk wrapped magnet wire or litz could be spun up into neat tidy self supporting coils .
