2“ 16 track , worth restoring?

got a beat up 2“ 16 track .
should be complete but with quite some undocumented modifications . powersupply is some weird diy thing consisting of 4 pieces in total , and the whole machine smells a little as if a cat lived in it .
these are the heads .

pretty worn. send the heads in for a report.

I would say visually the replay head (right) has had it. You can see the gaps in places which usually means it is beyond repair/relap.

thats what i was thinking , too :-\
at least that makes the decision easier ,also i wouldnt have the funds right now . it’s 3M M56
