I would like to present you the next member in my German Legends family, the PMV70X MKII.
It is the successor of the well known but discontinued PMV70X HiZ.

NOTE: the PMV70X MKII is NOT API500 COMPATIBLE, a GDIY511 Rack is required

Selecting R41 & R45 is to compensate tolerances of R40.
If you don't need two exactly identical units (and if you are not a German measuring engineer) just leave out R45.
Your fine gain may not be 8dB exactly, and the +8dB gain setting with -8dB fine gain won't be 0dB
 
In your kit R41 = 22R, and R45 = 2K7. These values are a good start for to the provided potentiometer.
If you want to match further, don't install them.

You need to select R41 first (without R45 installed). Set the gain switch to +8dB, and the gain potentiometer to -8dB.
Select your R41 for 0dB gain (you shouldn't change R41 under power).
If you found your R41 value for 0dB gain, turn your gain potentiometer to 0dB.
Now choose R45 to measure +8dB gain in this setting.
You can change R45 while measuring.

2 identical units? Nope. Just one for some vocal tracking.
German measuring engineer? Nein. That sounds like work!

Ha, perfect! After populating all the other resistors, I was left with a 22Ω and a 2.7kΩ. Glad to know these remaining values weren't a sign that I misidentified one along the way.

It sounds like I should put away these 2 resistors, install 100Ω in R41 and move along. Thanks!
