I had recently noticed AP were now offering software that also worked with 3rd party Asio based soundcards ,
Hmmm so the 3K base package includes a mini usb based audio  interface then .
How does the licenceing  work on older hardware based systems from AP , if you aquire one second hand does the licence automatically transfer ,  Or will you be faced with bills to update /use it?

I was not under the impression that AP included an interface at all.
Software licensing is controlled with a "flex key". I don't know if that is physical dongle or a file.

I'm pretty sure this is just software with options.

For 3K you get a very very basic two channel package:

APx500 Flex - Two Channel Configuration
The APx500 Flex 2-channel basic configuration includes sequence mode, input signal monitors, file analysis, 2-channel ASIO interface support and Flex Pack 1: Level & Gain, THD+N, Loudspeaker Production Test, Stepped Frequency Sweep, Pass/Fail, and Signal Acquisition measurements...

Includes APx500 Flex Key, software, and getting started guide. (Laptop not included.)
