I just purchased a T. Bone RB 100 for the purpose of turning into a nice mic.  I want to install a new transformer in the mic.  I'll be installing a 1.75in 2.5 micron ribbon (the manufacturers this is what it come with, are China factories still running about ribbon thivkness?).
What ratio transformer would work best for this setup?

Thanks,
Craig

That suggests a ribbon impedance of about 0.2 ohm (that takes into account wiring/contact resistance). A 1:30 xfmr would result in an output impedance of about 200 ohms.
