Hi
I need an help to source the XLR bottom pin parts of small diaphragm condenser mics.
I need to know if something already built is available for sale from suppliers instead of starting to build something custom maybe with a "cable" standard male XLR connector and an aluminium tube.
I need to mount this part in pencil bodies of about 14.5mm of diameter (akg 451 dimensions)

Thanks

There are cheap male / male XLR adapters available.

Like  these:

https://www.amazon.com/Hosa-GXX-144-XLR3M-Gender-Changer/dp/B000068O4J

Cut them in the middle and you have two connectors which could fit and look nice.

Thanks for answering.
I already though about this solution... You are confirming that probably is not bad as idea.

I found these products:

https://www.thomann.de/it/neutrik_nm_3_mxi.htm

https://www.thomann.de/it/sennheiser_umbaukit_f_md_441.htm?o=3&search=1574025155

But it's impossible to find their drawing with measures.

Probably I'll go for the diy solution with the adapter barrel

Look here

for some imformation abuot the Neutrik XLR thing you found at Thomann.
To me, the adapter solution looks better but maybe the Neutrik works better for you!

We build those parts all day long out of Stainless Steel, or Aluminum. The cheapest option for you would be mating one of the aforementioned XLR barrels (not Neutrik, but Swithchcraft style) with your tube. Still, you will need a lathe to turn the end down and seamlessly mate...

Best, M
