Hi,
I'm really new with this, and i got problems with reading the schematics for the various projects on the net, so i need a little guidance(typo?)..
I'm about to build a SSL comp.(with a little help from a friend getting me all the parts and pcb) and while i wait for the components i start planning for the next project.
The next project is to build a micpreamp. I would like to build a 2 channel amp with a psu that can manage 8 channals so i can expand the amp in the near future.. I don't got that much money so i will build it little by little.

Anyone got any suggestions wich amp to build. I would like to buy the pcb's as i don't got equipment to make my own.

Thanks for a great forum!

Hi and Welcome!
I think that the "Green Pre" is a very good starting project!

If you want a pre with more character I think that the 1081's pre section is a very nice pre!

Input transformers can be hard to get these days since Carnhill is having some production delays!
But I think it will work fine with OEP or Lundahls too! The input circuit works fine "stand alone" too but you will not have so high headroom then!

[quote author="kubi"]SSL9k pre is even completely without trafos and could be an even cheaper and easier project to start with.

There's also a balanced output stage, but I can't find the URL. Somebody to help?
