Neve connector (1272 back panel)

Hi all

Anyone know where to find the 18 way back panel connector for the 1272? I'm doing some work on a number of these & I'd like to find a proper connector instead of etching PCB's to fit in there as I have done in the past!

It is an 18way male connector with a 0.15" pitch on the terminals.

Hi Peter,

I don't actually know if there is a male connector - I've only ever seen the male end as traces on a PCB or an extender card or the like. It will be interesting to find out.

the original connector was made by amphenol, dont knwo if that helps you or not. Ebay is probably your best bet for something like that.

Newark has them, but they're (gulp) $52.00 apiece.

I also don't know the part # for the male half, only the female. If anyone is still making it, these parts numbers should help you track it down:

Wire Pro Industries 143-018-01 (aka WPI - currently in production and found at Newark/Farnell as well as Allied, IIRC)

[EDIT] jrmintz - That's a nice find! :wink: Mouser has it for $2.76. That's $10 less than the WPI version (all gold contacts).

connector world in seattle has them for 15 dollars each
