I doubt it will sound exactly like the original. It is just a modern DSP with modern sigmal delta converters attached. But it will probably sound very good.

I also do not doubt  that it will sound great, I just wonder if it will have the same mojo of the 16 bit versions is all.  the newer chip sets might sound too clean.

Had been holding out on a Klark Teknik DN780 for the studio in hopes that I'd find an RMX16 for a steal. Pretty pleased about this, though I'll hold out until I hear some sounds or can demo one. The price is good, though. Mono in, stereo out like the original.
