Hi, just to share that if you need to repair this device for something that looks like some phantom plugged at the output, this U6 of amp is probably an ne5532 and you'll probably need to change it. Also check to two 75ohm output resistors.

Well, there's that. And i guess the failure mode the OP described comes about because they... chose to avoid the "evil" of DC-blocking caps on the outputs?

If you ask Empirical labs for a part they might supply you that for free.

I did that some years ago with some parts and they sent me free of charge.

I also don't like the "whipping labels from opamps thing" but just to give also a real positive feedback of the company support

you should contact them directly they're very helpful and will most likely send you out parts. any units i've sent into them for repair has been very affordable.
