I am using captive screws to retain modules in mixers. I would like to use ones that have a chunky knurled section you can easily grip with you fingers to undo then so as to remove a module. I am using a Eurorack system ( M2.5) and so far I have only been able to find screw operated types or ones with a thin knurled band. I know the chunky Neve style ones do exist because I have three of them but for the life of me I cannot remember where got when I got them.

The ones I am using look a bit like this but the head is knurled and has no slot:

On this side of the pond they are called thumb screws. They are usually pricey.

McMaster Carr has plastic Screw Caps that fit over socket head screws to make them into thumb screws.

Computer desktop cases back in the day often used knurled thumb screws , might be worth a browser search with similar key words.I have a few different varieties of them in my misc screw department , I'll have a poke around tomorrow and check diameter ,
bound to be available off the shelf if you have the appropriate search term.

That is exactly what I am using right now and they work fine. The Neve type has a much taller knurled section, maybe 6mm high.
