Quick Pultec MEQ-5 output transformer question.
« on: May 02, 2020, 12:19:27 PM »
I just scored 2 Collins HS-50 transformers on the cheap. The primaries are 10k and the sec. are 600 ohms. I thought these would work well in an MEQ-5. Is there a problem with a 10k primary as opposed to the Triad HS-50's 15k primary?

Thanks!

should work ok, . its 4:1 not 5:1. this is not a Triad hs-50. frequency response might be better than rated with no dc.
