I'm racking two input channels of an EMT A100

I'm wondering about the part around the fader,  I could either leave the fader, replace it with a pot, or scratch this part.
What would you do ?

I'm also having two channels of these strips.
I've managed to power them up but I have a problem with one of them.
Everything is working except for the fader part. comparing with the "good" strip this one gives a weak output after the fader.
PFL signal is OK.
I've swapped all IC's after the EQ section.
Anyone  ? schematic is attached by Ward.

Easiest way to find the faulty spot is to move backwards with a signal tracer (DMM, Scope, amp, etc...). Check between every circuit block if the signal´s good or bad. It could be a problem in the muting circuit around T6/7/8 from your description. Check if the signal at the Filter-On switch still is ok.

Only weak points on my EMT 411 strips are the (pink-coloured) trim pots.

Compare level at the top of the fader (marked 62 on schem) with level at pin 6 of opamp H (post-fader amp), with the fader set to 0dB.

If not okay, try exercising trimmer R57.

Good luck!
