OK books. Cute pictures. _NO_ treatment of Voltage Dividers, nothing on Resistors In Parallel, only one section on resistors (just bleeders).

Get a basic ELECTRICITY book. Or the first chapters of good old electronics books, before they introduce tubes/transistors.

This is the sort of reason people avoid electronics engineers at parties  ::)
