C414 EB noise problem.

Hello

I have a C414 EB on the bench that has constant frying noise in th background. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas of where to go with this. I've already tried cleaning the switches, but I'm reluctant to start pulling it to bits too much more without some sort of plan.

Is it the P48 variant of C414EB?

If yes, try cleaning the PCB around the input FET (T1) area, especially the bottom side.

..and if you have contact cleaner residue in the switches, rinse with isopropyl or such..

Capsule can be a problem also, dirty switches, bad tantalum caps etc, you can substitute the capsule with a ceramic capacitor easily.
I have some good nylon ck12 if needed
