Hey guys, can anyone identify what capsules these are?

With so many clones and manufactures of ck12 type capsules I figured I'd ask some of experts to see if anyone can identify the origin of these capsules:

Capsule 1

Capsule 2

(I  only have one pic of the 2nd capsule)

Thanks

Capsule 1 looks like some of the versions of the "RK12". Either way, it's the same as the other Chinese "CK12" capsules. You can get them for $30/pc on Alibaba, sometimes available in single orders too. I can't say for sure.

Second one looks like the same thing, just a different revision. The sides have that same blue-green look as the "CK12" made by iSK. Which is still called the RK12 sometimes (when sold by Mic-Parts and some Alibaba and AliExpress stores).

Either way these are both likely Chinese capsules. They shouldn't be any different from the ones on WGTcenter and Alibaba. They may have different coloured wires and sides, but they're basically the same thing (there's a reason the RK12, AK12, and the Telefunken version all sound the same, it's because they're the same thing).

I can't say for certain who makes them, but assuming it's one of the Chinese manufacturers (or people using Chinese backplates) besides 797, they're all the same thing with a different coat of paint.

If it's a cheap edge terminated capsule, it's probably going to sound the same as the RK12, because they're all constructed similarly to K67 capsules (this is why they have the same kind of rises as K67 capsules, just a bit less bright). Even some "premium" ones like the Maiku and Peluso ones will be the same because the actual metalwork is all done in China.

The Beesneez CK12, Tim Campbell CT12, and Heiserman HK12 are all accurate recreations, and they cost a lot more, and there's a reason for that. They're hand made with the same sort of chambering (don't know a better word, sorry) as the original brass CK12s, which I believe is necessary for the sound.

Even the edge terminated capsules from 3U Audio have K67 like lifts (although less than the RK12 ones because he's good at tuning capsules, but it's still only about a decibel difference), because they're made similarly. Though I just checked an email from him I got in September and there may be plans for a more authentic CK12 capsule, though he didn't give me a time frame.

This is the relevant part of the email "Our M7 style capsule will be available in two months. We should start brass ck12 style capsule later."
