UA176: longer attack/release?
« on: April 17, 2021, 05:00:42 AM »
The usual complaint about most vari-mu designs, is not being fast enough. And any attempts shortening it beyond its inherent limits, results in thumping.
The 175/6 indeed handles speed, but the narrow attack window of .3-1 ms is almost limiting (pun intended) in the other side of the spectrum.
Is having a slower option an easy mod (as well as a wider timing range), or does that too come with its own set of side effects?

You can just increase the value of the Attack pot and the associated 10k resistor. No side effects.
Who's right or wrong is irrelevant. What matters is what's right or wrong.
Star ground is for electricians.
