From casting around, it would appear that these transformers are less than stellar in the reliability stakes.
AKG, in their infinite wisdom, have dropped the part (0022E0036) from their spares list. What to do?
230v -> 270v + 23v transformers are a bit of a rarity, and the incumbent one is potted, hence unrewindable.
Not enough room for a pair of back to back 230->24v units.
Cheers
Mike

Gyraf, we used to have half a dozen people around Auckland who could do this sort of work. They have all died and nobody has taken their places.

Over here (United States of Ashamed to live here) Edcor will make custom transformers for a reasonable price.  I had them wind new power transformers for the LOMO 19A19 tube mic power supply which is also notorious for failing over time.  I had them made with a 120VAC primary for use here.  I believe it was under $100USD for a pair including the initial design fee.  Now that they have the design, I can order them for even less.
